FORWARD TO THE SHOWDOWN !
The lull is over. The war continues. The decisive battle is about to begin. We are tired of tolerating malicious assaults – without retaliation; shelling and bombing go unanswered. The destruction of our economy with no chance of peace; the entrenchment of an enemy army within our borders – the truce is dead and we are tired of carrying its corpse!
The vile treachery has become excessive.
The Egyptian army still confronts us and is preparing a new rampage to destroy the southern settlements and inherit the Negev. Only our fire will move it. It will not relinquish murder until we shred its illusions in blood. It was not us who wanted the war: it did. It started, but we will finish it off.
WE WERE CALLED TO STAND – WE STOOD!
WE WERE CALLED TO STRIKE AT THE ENEMY – WE STRUCK!
(Does Egypt remember the ten plagues!)
Then we said:
If we have to renew the struggle, we will do it more forcefully. If it is decreed, we will triumph. Brothers, the hour is nigh, this is the time and this is the moment.
Today we have been called to rout the Egyptian invaders.
For days the enemy has been shelling the southern settlements under cover of the cease-fire. Farouk’s lackeys have attacked our strongholds. They want war – they’ll get it from us.
But, this time they will get what is coming to them, the lot.
Because today we will use all our strength and will not return from the front without delivering the Negev – Jewish, to the State of Israel.
Soldiers and officers!
We will gather all our battle experience in one fist.
All our strength – in one fist.
All the hate – in one fist.
All the love – in one fist.
Knowing that this is THE LAST BATTLE –
FORWARD TO THE LIBERATION OF THE NEGEV!
